Karen Gay Napier
Welcome to Ira Blue Press, my creative home; a place where faith meets imagination and where stories are written with both heart and prayer.
I created Ira Blue Press to be more than a publishing imprint; it’s a reflection of my journey and a tribute to the legacy that shaped me. The name was inspired by my mother, her middle name Ira and her favorite color Blue. Together, they represent peace, depth, and truth, the very essence of what I hope each story carries.
Every book born from this space is written to reach beyond entertainment. My words are meant to heal, to awaken, and to remind readers that grace is still moving, even in the quietest corners of our lives.
Welcome to my world of storytelling, reflection, and divine grace.
Here, words are not only read, they are felt.
Here, stories remember what the soul has forgotten.
Karen Gay Napier is a storyteller, visionary, and creative force whose work spans women’s inspirational fiction, spiritual devotionals, and imaginative children’s literature. Through every book she writes, Karen weaves together themes of healing, identity, and restoration—inviting readers to rediscover their voice, their worth, and their God-given purpose.
She is the author of The Unmasking Series, a powerful collection of novels and devotionals designed to guide women through emotional and spiritual transformation. With honesty, depth, and faith-centered insight, Karen helps readers peel back the layers of silence, fear, and hidden pain so they can step fully into who God created them to be.
Her recent novel, The Black Butterfly, is a spiritually rich allegory that follows the journey of Nyra, a butterfly whose fall becomes the beginning of her rise. The novel is accompanied by The Black Butterfly Companion Journal, a guided seven-day devotional experience based on Proverbs 3:5–6, created to help women rebuild trust, restore hope, and hear God’s voice more clearly.
Karen is also the creative heart behind a growing collection of children’s books and story-based coloring pages, written with compassion for all children—especially those navigating feelings of being “different,” or facing physical, emotional, or developmental challenges. Through characters like Benny the Pup, Melody the Lamb, the Little Cedar Tree, and many others, Karen brings joyful messages of inclusion, confidence, and limitless possibility to young readers.
She is the founder of PK Kids Playhouse for Disabled & Disadvantaged Children, Inc., a compassionate community initiative dedicated to providing creativity, support, and enrichment opportunities for children of all backgrounds and abilities.
